Molybdenum Ore Production Line and Process Solution

I. Program Overview

Molybdenum ore (MoS₂) often coexists with pyrite, chalcopyrite, bismuthite and other sulfide minerals, with fine embedded particle size and complex selectivity. Molybdenum ore production line and process solution for the characteristics of molybdenum ore, the use of "stage grinding - stage selection" as the core of high-efficiency flotation process, combined with coarse concentrate regrinding, enhanced flotation, refined pharmaceutical system, to achieve molybdenum concentrate grade ≥ 45%, recovery rate of more than 90%, while reducing energy consumption by 30%. Second, molybdenum ore dressing process details

1. Crushing and grinding

  • Coarse crushing: Jaw crusher (C series) crushes the raw ore to 100-150mm.

  • Fine crushing: Cone crusher (HPY multi-cylinder hydraulic type) crushing to -10mm.

  • Stage grinding:

    • Rough grinding: Ball mill (MQY type) and spiral classifier closed circuit, grinding to suitable particle size, mixed roughing.

    • Coarse concentrate regrinding: coarse concentrate is finely ground by tower mill or vertical mill to ensure monomer dissociation and reduce over-crushing.

2. Flotation separation (core stage)

(1) Mixed roughing
  • Pharmacy system:

    • Capture agent: non-polar hydrocarbons.

    • Foaming agent: enhance foam stability.

    • Inhibitor: inhibit iron ore sulfide, copper minerals.

  • Flow: Roughing rapid tail throwing, coarse concentrate into regrinding, tailings sweeping as appropriate.

(2) Stage selection
  • Multi-stage selection (3-5 times):

    • Add a small amount of trapping agent to each stage of selection, and utilize froth flushing technology to reduce impurity entrainment.

    • The flotation column is used to replace the mechanical flotation machine to improve the sorting precision and increase the grade of molybdenum concentrate by 5-10%.

(3) Molybdenum-sulfur separation (optional)
  • If containing pyrite:

    • Suppress sulfurous iron ore, suppress carbonaceous veinstone.

3. Tailings treatment and recycled water utilization

  • Tailings dewatering: high-efficiency thickener + filter press, water reuse rate ≥85%.

  • Wastewater treatment: neutralization and precipitation method to treat cyanide-containing wastewater, up to standard discharge.
